Claude Rossignol is a painter from the Portes de Sologne who draws inspiration from many sources and who says of his art: “My painting is inspired by dreams and free narrative expression. Although serious subjects sometimes emerge from pictographic slips of the tongue, they are always treated with fantasy, sometimes even humour, in bright, festive colors and harmonies. I’m deeply attached to and fascinated by the line that feeds my creative universe, and it asserts itself with strength and freedom. It’s up to the line to set the rhythm and the color to play its chords like a jazz musician, in complete freedom.
